NLRC DECIMEN Demo stream active

Screen → camera · no network · no pairing

The payload travels as light.

NLRC Decimen turns one screen into a transmitter and any camera into a receiver. Pick a file on the sender — it dissolves into a stream of fountain-coded frames, and the phone pointed at it reassembles the original, byte for byte. No network path between the devices exists.

Live proof: the frame on the right is a real stream, right now. Open Receive on a phone, point it at the circle, and you will actually catch a file out of the air.

How the beam works

a real sequence — follow it in order

Pick a file on the sender

Any file, any size. It is split into blocks and the sender starts broadcasting an endless stream of animated codes — each one a different XOR combination of those blocks.

Point a camera at it

The receiver decodes whatever frames it can catch — blur, dropped frames and refresh-straddling cost a little time, never correctness. There is no back-channel and no retransmission.

The file reassembles

A Luby-transform decoder peels the payload out of any ~15% overshoot of distinct frames, verifies it against a hash embedded in every frame, and offers it back as a file. Light in, file out.

Ready to beam something?

One screen transmits. One camera receives. That is the whole setup.
